Central Christian Church. The Rev. Shullenberger will begin his 14th year at the church. ° Another honor guest will be Miss Nellie C. Young, recently chosen minister of children’s work. Members of the Twentieth Century Class will be hosts at the reception, with Mrs. M. E. Elstun in charge of arrangements. Mrs. C. L. Harkness spoke on “New Orleans and the Evangeline Country” at the luncheon meeting today of the Alice Meier Circle of the Broadway Methedist Church. ~ Mrs, Frank Wright, 3116 Park Ave., entertained the group, assisted by Mrs. Bert Boyer and Mrs. John Ebner. Mesdames John Grob, Glenn Puckett and Ralph Roderick will assist with serving. Members of the Neri League of St. Philip’s Parish will sponsor a dance tomorrow night at the school auditorium, 535 Eastern Ave. Tom Kibler’'s orchestra will play for dancing from 9 to 12. Mrs. William E. Rogers will lead a discussion on “Understanding the Adolescent Girl” at the opening session of the training course Tuesday evening at the Y. W. C. A, following the supper. Other meetings will be held each Tuesday night during February, The training course has been planned by Mrs. Howard Hunt, Miss Helen Haggard and Miss Charlotte Pearson. The course will be held for advisors of senior high ‘school Girl Reserve groups at Washington, Technical, Manual, Howe, Shortridge and Beech Grove High Schools, leaders of junior high groups. at Schools 8, 9, 10, 16, 18 and 31, West Indianapolis Branch Library, Hawthorne Community Center and Brightwood Community Center. W. to plan a dinner for Miss Bernice Bridges, New York, member of the national Y. W. staff. Aims and activities of the membership committee and the philanthropic work of the Organization will be outlined. ‘Your Child and You’ Is Lecture Subject
Dr. Irvin T, Shultz of the College of Education at Butler University, will offer a popular lecture course on “Modern Psychology, Your Child and You,” during the second semes-
ter in the evening division of the
university. Classes will be held at 7 p. m. on Wednesday evenings in Arthur Jordan Memorial Hall. Included in the course will be 10 lectures on child and parental relationships. Dr. Schultz also will teach a class in the psychology of adolescense, which will meet at 10:15 a m. on Saturdays. Three hours of credit will be given. Lectures in the course will include an examination and survey of the characteristics and interests of upper grade and high school pupils.
