Group Starts Midwinter Conference at Wathingion

Presidents and legislative chairmen of Indianapolis Parent-Teacher Associations were to be urged this afternoon to continue support for an amendment to the Constitution removing the office of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction from the list of elective offices. Other measures scheduled for this session of the Legislature, which Mrs. Murray was to explain, include a bill, now in the House, restricting the use and sale of fireworks and an improved marriage license law. The congress will support the report of the Governor's Committee on the marriage law which has not yet been introduced. The hill regarding the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, now in the Senate and ready for second reading, was supported by the congress at the last session of the Legislature. The congress is expected to support a longer term x ome than the present two-year
