Mrs. Powell was & librarian before her. marriage and is still interested in literature and music. Their son, Richard Jr. 10, takes piano lessons and goes to art school. Madeline, 5, goes to art classes and studies dancing.
The Powells had their own house before the depression. They expect to move from their apartment to a home of their own again some day.

P. W. Clubs at the Hotel Severin. “We are getting away from the old type meetings where one speaker gets up and gives to us from the abundance of her knowledge,” she said. “Instead, members of small study . groups are bringing their knowledge ' into conflict with the thinking of other clubwomen. Now picture what a group like this can mean in a community. If you participate in what you are studying, you inform yourself and the knowledge in turn percolates out to the community. If you think, the community will think.” Plans for the state convention May ‘19, 20 and 21 at French Lick were discussed. A ‘committee was named to consider redistricting of the state and to make a report at the convention.
