BOY IS GIVEN CHANCE ON ‘BORROWED BLOOD’

EVANSVILLE, Jan. 12 (U. P.).— Doctors at Deaconness Hospital today gave T-year-old Michael Bryan an even chance of surviving on “borrowed blood” of. 28 donors who came to his aid when he suffered hemorrhages five weeks ago after an operation, The child’s blood subply was reblenished by 22 transfusions. Among the donors were two policemen and an aviator, friends of the boy’s father, Robert Bryan, a haker.

Max Lerner, former - associate editor of The Nation and professor of political science at Williams College, will speak on “The Crisis of the Labor Movement” in the Kirshbaum Center, 23d and Meridian Sts., at 8:15 p. m. Sunday. The lecture will be the third of a series on the current Indianapolis Open Forum program sponsored annually by the Jewish Community Center Association. ? Mr. Lerner has written extensively on law, politics and the increasing role of government in the control of industrial activity. . He also has written and lectured on the VU. S. Supreme Court and Constitutional law.
