the oldest, Magdalen, 14, who was taken to a hospital with a rupture appendix three days after the parents deaths, but now is almost well, ‘remembered little of New York.’

Mrs. John Roedig, one of the aunts who ‘is custodian of a branch of the City Librarian and has her quarters there. There she and the other aunts, Mrs. John Gresslein and Mrs. Harry Spicer, decided on the distribution. The children are: Magdalen, 14; Lilian, 13; Louise, 11; Allen, 7;
* Grace; 6; Justina, 4, and Elizabeth, 2.
Magdalen and = Justina were
* chosen to stay with the Roedigs,
who have three children of their own, Magdalen, 20; Martha, 17, and Ann, a year and a half. Magdalen Moore is called Madge, so there will be no confusion. Mrs, Gesslein, who has no children of her own, took Elizabeth, Louise and Lillian. Allen and Grace went to Mrs. Spicer, who has seven ‘children of her own, and three grandchildren. Three of her children are married,
