Thurman W Arnold, assistant attorney general, asserted-in a brief thet ‘the Government's indictment was not “vague or ambiguous” as contended in a demurrer to the indittment filed by General Motors. acter in many of James Whitcomb Riley's poems, will be buried at Crown Hill Saturday afternoon. She was 79. Mrs. Skinner, born in Elkton, Md, came as a girl to the home of Capt. Reuben A. Riley in Greenfield. She became a close friend of Capt.

Riley's son, young James Whitcomb Riley, and the two children were reared together as. brother and sister. In 1879 she came to Indianapolis to be married and ‘lived here until her death yesterday. would talk of her earlier days in Greenfield, relatives said. The funeral services will be held from the residence, 2614 N. Gale St., at 2 p. m. Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Guy E. Lowry will officiate. 2 Mrs. Skinner is survived by her husband, Charles H. Skinner; a daughter, Mrs. Alfred M. Sucese of Chicago, and a son, John G. Skinner of Anaconda, Mont.
