LASS FIRM CLAIMS ONOPOLY BY PATENT
WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 (U. P.).— ". G. Smith, president of the Hartford Empire Co. of Hartford, Conn., testified before the temporary National Economic Committee today that his company holds a monopoly on patents for a type of high-speed ~ production of glass containers.
- Mr. Smith was the first witness ~ as the Committee turned its inquiry . to the glass industry to study the effect of patent control on competitive conditions.
