Dr. Morgan cited a bulletin of the U, S. Public Health Service which . reported the number of cases of influenza over the country for the month ending Nov. 5 was 50 per cent higher than the average for

If serum is administered early, the death rate may be reduced as much as 45 per cent. Dr. Morgan urged that all respiratory infections be diagnosed early and the type of organism determined.
