hil off %. Irregularity marked dull trading on the listed bond market. Rails edged off fractionally at the outset and steadied on these narrow losses through the early trade. Industrials met some selling and lost fractions to around a point under Jead of steels. Utilities held firm under light support. U. S. Government obligations got ‘off to a firm start, but demand was Jacking and the list turned irregular shortly after the opening. Ujigawa Electric Power Ts of 1945 and Montevideo 6s of 1959 were owtStanding in a generally easy foreign section. Curb stocks worked lower in fore‘moon dealings after an early irreguJar advance. Losses ranged to more ‘than a point. In the industrial list Colts Patent Firearms maintained an early gain of a point but Aluminum Co. of America lost all of an early 1point advance, National Steel Car was off 2!;, Quaker Oats lost a point and Technicolor was off 12, Utilities were fractionally lower. WHEAT IS FIR
AS CORN PRICES -SHOW STRENGTH
Liverpool Market Higher; Local Offerings Rise in Early Deals.
CHICAGO, Nov. 22 (U., P.)— Wheat prices ruled steady on ‘the Chicago Board of Trade today, with scattered buying - reflecting
firmness at Liverpool. At the end of the first hour wheat was unchanged to up % cent, corn was % to % cent higher, and oats up % to off % cent. Liverpool wheat closed % to % cent higher after early easiness. Weakness in sterling and lack of pressure from shippers were responsible for late buying. Winnipeg wheat was unchanged at the end of an hour’s trading. Export sales of Manitobas were reported to be about 200,000 bushels, largely afloat wheat to the Continent. In the local wheat market offerings increased on the initial upturn, but there was enough demand to sustain prices. Corn prices were firm in trading featured by lack of selling pressure. Trading consisted mostly of changing operations between the Dzcember and May futures at about 4 cents difference. Local corn receipts were estimated at 124 cars.

Local hog prices advanced 20 cents on all weights today, according to the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. There was a quickmoving outlet for a fairly Pre sfipply. Top on 160-170-pound averages rose to $7.90, with the bottom of the price list affecting S00-440-pound hogs at $7.40. An influx of orders deflected from the Chicago market where strike conditions : prevail, boosted all classes of cattle higher here. Vealers were steady with best selling for $11. About 40 loads of steers were cleared by midsession fully 25 cents higher than yesterday and last week. Heifers and cows were active, and bulls joined the advance. Most good grade steers and yearlings sold from $9 to $10.75. Stockers and feeders were strong., A top of $9.75 was paid for both native and western lambs. Bulk cleared around $9.50. RE-EXPORT OIL FROM MEXICO
Customs Bureau Gives Permit for Refining; Dumping Investigated.
WASHINGTON, Nov. 22 (U. P.). —The Treasury Department, it has been learned, has taken definite steps to prevent dumping of Mexican crude oil on the U. S. market.
The Customs Bureau granted a bonded warehouse permit to the Eastern State’s Petroleum Corp. of Houston, Tex., for refining and reexport of oil take from American properties exprorpiated by Mexico. Although Oustoms officials declined to discuss details of the bonding, it was understood that it would serve to prevent dumping the oil on this country’s markets. Meanwhile, the Treasury is continuing its investigation of complaints that Mexican crude is being dumped in Texas. The Customs Bureau has sent investigators to Mexico to check the situation from that end but they have not yet made a complete report, it was learned.

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, which began its second season under Fabien Sevitzky’s direction last week-end, starts its second year of broadcasting at 2 p. m. tomorrow, inaugurating an 18-week CBS series through WFBM.
The program, subject to change, is announced as follows: The Overture to Mozart's “Marriage of Figaro,” Haydn’s Symphony No. 9, “The Mystic Trumpeter” by Converse, and the Polka and Fugue from Weinberger’s “Schwanda.”
It will be noted that only two of the first program’s numbers will be heard on the broadcast concert. Mr. Sevitzky plans to include each week music that will not be heard on the popular or subscription series, which should attract local listeners as well as national network dialers.
A program of Rimsky-Korsakov, Bernard Rogers and Beethoven is the tentative selection for the second broadcast. » ” ”
The latest cinema combination to endanger the Myrna Loy-Clark Gable team prestige is Shirley Ross and Bob Hope, who co-starred in “Thanks for the Money,” at the Circle recently. Miss Ross will return for her second guest appearance on Mr. Hope's program at 9 p. m. today on NBCWIRE. Of course both are married and not to each other.
