Ermine and jewels will burgeon forth tomorrow evening as society in prodigal splendor attends the opening of the evening series of Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
concerts at the Murat Theater.
The first Friday afternoon concert is to be preceded today by the Women’s Committee luncheon and lecture at the Athenaeum. Mrs. William H. Ball, Muncie, will entertain members of the Women’s committee executive board at the luncheon. Boxholders tomorrow evening will be Mr. Ball, president of the Indiana State Symphony Society, and Mrs. Ball; Mrs. Edmund B. Ball of Muncie; Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Beveridge Jr.; Dr. and Mrs. G. H. A. Clowes; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore - B. Griffith; Ferdinand Schaefer, orchestra founder and conductor emeritus; Mr. and Mrs. Fabien Sevitzky; Mrs. Samuel Lewis Shank; Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Butler’s Annual Geneva-Stunts
Set for Tonight
The Butler University Y. W. C. A. will present the annual fall Geneva Stunts tonight at 8 o'clock at the Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church. - Proceeds will go to a fund to send delegates to the ¥. W. C. A.'conference next summer at Lake Geneva. Titles of stunts and organization chairmen inciude “Now and Then, Miss Betty Schissel, Kappa Alpha Theta; “The Butler Candy Box,” Miss Winona Wilson and Miss Eloise Foreman, Delta Delta Delta, and “Life Comes to Butler,” Miss Lucile Mayhill and Miss Jane Day Pierce, K#ppa Kappa Gamma. A family turkey dinner will be}
served Thanksgiving day at the club’s main dining room from noon until 9 p. m., with dinner-dance music by the club orchestra from 6:30 to 8:30 p. m. Whole turkeys will be carved and served at the tables for family groups of eight or more. Club members are busy arranging bridge foursomes and making up parties for the club’s annual Turkey Parade dinner, dance to beheld tomorrow night in the ballroom. Reservations for the event total more than 200. Maj. Gen and Mrs. Robert H. Tyndall are. cochairmen of the committee in charge. The feature of the evening’s entertainment is a turkey parade to be staged by the club’s cuisine staff. Denny Dutton and his orchestra will play for dancing.
