Liehr’s Tavern continued its pace by defeating the Mt. Jackson Tire & Battery five, 33 to 29. Hueston led the Tavern boys with 11 points, while Rowe was outstanding for the Tire five. | The Schwitzer-Cummins Stokols subdued the Fashion Cleaners team, 28 to 26, in a close contest. Red Theobold with 11 tallies led the Stokols. The Furnas Ice Cream five broke into the victory column by trouncing the Lawrence Denzell quintet, 42 to 36. Ray Reed with 15 points paced the Furnas five, while Dible added 10 tallies for the Denzell five.
