‘Early Reservations for «Auto Show Heavy
: ‘Farly reservations for the Indianapolis Auto Show, Nov. 19 to 25, already have exceeded last year’s, according to C. O. Warnock, president of the Auto Trade Association. The show follows the national exhibit in New York by a week.
Last ‘year the Indianapolis show | §
‘was one of the few to record a gain in attendance over the previous year. A full line of passenger models has been assured and demands from accessory and truck exhibitors have been exceptionally heavy, Mr. Warnock said. "Having spent several years in ‘Mexico doing archaeological work, Mr. Warnock will direct the decorating of the Manufacturers Building in keeping with authentic Mexican Fiesta motif.
New Model of Marsh Buggy Introduced
‘A new model of the all-wheel drive Marsh Buggy is included in the 1939 line of trucks presented by the Marmon-Herrington Co., Indianapolis. It is made especially for use in extremely marshy country, and equipped to use from four to 10 large size tires. The large number of oversize tires enables the truck to cross marshland which cannot be traversed by boat, by animal or on foot. For less extreme conditions, all but four wheels may be removed. Fundamentally, the truck is a Marmon-Herrington all-wheel-drive Ford truck.
International Offers Free Cost Record System
A free motor truck cost record system is being offered by the International Harvester Co. to all truck owners and operators, according to R. C. Maley, branch manager. The book contains all necessary forms for keeping an accurate record of all fixed operating and maintenance charges for one motor truck for a year. A separate book is furnished for each unit with a page provided for each of the 12 months, and a recapitulation page on which all costs as well as operating data may be recorded for the year. Space also is provided for a tire record and investment record.
