A company spokesman said about 200 employees were in the plant today. They worked yesterday and will continue to do so today, he said. Approximately 100 of the workers have lived in the plant since the strike started. The others have entered since Tuesday.
San Francisco Strike Mediated
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 20 (U. P.).—Paul C. Smith, newspaper executive, called in as outside mediator, early today said that C. I. O. -warehousemen and warehouse operators had reached “full accord on alk points” in a dispute which has tied up more than 130 warehouses here and in Oakland for four months. Terms of the settlement were not announced but Mr. Smith said it would be submitted to membership vote of the San Francisco Distributors’ Association and the Warehousemen’s Union with the recommendation of negotiators on both sides that it be accepted. “If the agreement is ratified it is probable that the work can be re-
sumed in the warehouses by next Monday,” Mr. Smith said.
LINDBERGH GIVEN NAZI DECORATION
BERLIN, Oct. 20 (U. P.).—Col. Charles A. Lindbergh started a brief tour of provincial aircraft centers| today. Col. Lindbergh and Maj. Arthur Vanaman left last night for Augsberg, to visit the Messerschmidt airplane factory today. There was no clue as the reason for the award to Col. Lindbergh yesterday of the Distinguished Service Cross of the German Eagle, the only Nazi Government decoration given to foreigners. Henry| Ford received one recently.
BURNS FATAL TO DANVILLE WOMAN
Kerosene explosion burns today had caused the death of Miss Mildred Irene Wall, 23, of Danville, Ind. Miss Wall died yesterday in St. Vincent’s Hospital from burns she received several hours earlier while attempting to light a kitchen stove at her home, Deputy Coroner Frank Ramsey said. Mrs. Anna Wall, mother of the victim, told Di. Ramsey she smothered the flames but not before the girl had been burned on the head, neck and arms.
