This treatment, so new it is said to be “dazzling” ear, nose and throat specialists attending the meeting here of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, was described by Dr. Frank J. Novak Jr, of Chicago. A pig step toward preventing

sinus disease in future generations can be taken with the aid of dentists, Dr. Novak said. Children between the ages of four and six years should be taken to the dentist who straightens teeth to have their palates inspected and any deformity corrected. This will prevent the “one-two-three hook-up” which Dr. Novak sees as a prime cause of sinus disease. The deformed palate (1) leads to deformity of the nose (2) which prevents adequate ventilation and drainage through the nose,

Duke University medical symposium here today. Amebic dysentery was a matter of nation-wide concern when an epidemic of it, causing many deaths, sflicted visitors to the Chicago World's Fair and residents of

the city in 1933.

From 5 to 10 per cent of the population of the country is infected with the germ or parasite of this disease, Dr. Charles Franklin Craig declared. In some parts of the country from 30 to 40 per cent
