Bloor Schleppey Wins Good Sportsmanship and Spirit of Roundup Trophies; Williams “reek Club Takes Strauss Award.

By VIRGINIA MOORHEAD MANNON To the Indiana Saddle Horse Association and the Sunnyside Guild go the laurels for handsomely upholding a five-year tradition of sport and geniality at the sixth annual Roundup at Gregg Farms yesterday. The palm for good sportsmanship (which was a lei of vellow 'santhemums) Roundup trophy went to Bloor Schleppey. whose ibits in the commercial transportation section of the fancy turnevent took first and second prizes. The Williams Creek Saddle h, located at Gregg Farms, won by the L. Strauss grand trophy. The opening parade, consisting of three riders from each club resented, circled the ring at 10 a. m., led by the 139th Field Artilband and the Culver Military Academy guard. High spot of the day was the big parade in which all riders icipated and which boasted such varied entries as a sparkin’ rig '35, a chuck wagon, a covered wagon, a fine Eastern polo pony and blooded California and Tennessee horses. Judging the 20 events were Col. Robert Rossow of Culver Military Academy, Jack Rogers of Muncie, Dudley Walker of Winganeek Farms, Lexington, Ky., and Commander Olo Fred Heslar. Donald L. Bose was announcer. Joan Haywood on Flirt won the blue ribbon in the horsemanship boys and girls 13 years and under 18. Ralph Lavosa on Chi Barrymore took first in the novice five-gaited class. Crawford H. Barker of the Stoney Creek Stables, Noblesville, on Mademoiselle was fi in the trotting race under saddle.
