REGIONAL BANK GROUP SELECTS NEW OFFICERS

B. F. McLaughlin Is Named President at Close of Convention.

B. F. McLaughlin, Noblesville, will take office in May as president of Region 4, Indiana Bankers Association. He was elected at the close of the annual regional meeting last night at the Claypool Hotel. Mr. McLaughlin succeeded William C. Grauel, Indianapolis. J. W. Fletcher, Greenfield, was elected vice president; C. L. Hobbs, Windfall, secretary-treasurer, and Mr. Grauel and Mr. McLaughlin, members of the nominating committee to the state convention.

Federation of Civic Clubs Will Study Proposal.

Possibility of the City acquiring the Indianapolis Water Co. will be discussed at the Indianapolis Federation of Civic Clubs’ meeting at |8 o'clock tonight, it was announced {today by Paul C. Wetter, president. The discussion will be led by E. O. Snethen, chairman of the Federa‘tion’s Utilities Committee. Mr. Snethen, an advocate of municipal ownership of utilities, said today he favors the City acquiring the Water Co., providing it can be bought at a reasonable price and can be managed so that rates can
