A good idea travels fast, some‘times. Yet it is strange how long it has taken that very good idea of ‘serving fruit with the meat course to become a general practice. |

| Of course some meat-fruit com-| binations have become almost a tradition, for example, roast pork! and apple sauce and lamb chops and pineapple. i But these are just a good begin-| ining. There are many other equally | {tasty blendings of meat and fruit] | flavors.

Cooking School will be held at | the English Theater next Tues- | day, Wednesday and Thursday. Story, Page 4.

Fruits, both fresh and cooked, not jonly enhance the fine flavor of |meat, but it can be used to make | very appetizing color combinations. |A garnishing of mint apples about | {the roast lamb, bananas with! broiled steak, pear halves filled with {cheese around roast of veal or lamb, | pineapple slices with a baked ham, slice, are as good to look upon as to} eat, and that's very good, indeed! | Here are some suggestions using fruit with the meat dish. Instead of pineapple with lamb chops, place cooked pear halves, each containing a cube of currant jelly, on the platter with the chops.
