MORE ELECTION BOARD WORKERS CALLED IN PROBE
‘Members From Precinct 12 Expected to Testify On Recount.
. Election Board workers from Precinct 12, Ward 2, were called before the Grand Jury today, supposedly to testify concerning alleged variances in totals found in the recount of Democratic ballots :re‘cently. A special investigation of that precinct was asked by Criminal ‘Court Judge Frank Baker when he instructed the Grand Jury six weeks ago.
Judge Baker told the jury to investigate discrepancies in that pre-
cinct “in view of the fact that a.
member of the Prosecutor’s staff was on the Elecijon Board there.” Yesterday the jurors questioned seven members of the election board who worked in Precinct 9, Ward 20, where a discrepancy of more than 30 votes was found by recount commissioners.
