Falls, the National Safety Council ®-

announced today, in its 1938 edition of “Accident Facts,” caused 20 per cent of all accident cases in 1837 which involved industrial employees. Victims of these falls received 25 percent of th® compensation paid

\ y one other industrial opera- , that of handling different objects, including tools, material and other items, causes more accident cases. But victims of this type of mishap, the Council said, receive only 14 per cent of total compensation, for the reason that injuries in the “handling objects” classification usually are less serious than fall injuries. ‘
