Sardine Hot Numbers

Mash smoked sardines with a little | chili sauce and minced parsley. | Spread cocktail crackers with a light | coating of prepared mustard. Place | a mound of the sardine mixture in the center. Then pop into your mouth. ! Onion Tovarich Use small white onions. Skin, then cook in salted water for 10 minutes. When cool, cut into halves carefully. Scoop out centers to make tiny onion cases with thin shells. Combine caviar, yolks of hard boiled eggs, a few fine bread crumbs, a little chopped parsley and melted butter. Stuff onion shells with this mixture. Place on baking sheet and cook 15 minutes in hot oven (425 degrees F). Serve piping hot on tiny disks of buttered toast. Life has its better moments when there are lots of little things to eat. |
