LOS ANGELES, June 30 (U.P) — Clubwomen claimed today to have 100,000 names on a petition protesting the Government's treatment of Mrs. Laura Barnett, widow of Jackson Barnett, the “world’s richest Indian.” They plan to have 200,000 before

the petition is sent to Washington, said Mrs. L. R. Wharton, retiring president of the Pleiades Club. They ask that the Government recognize Mrs. Jackson as the Indian's widow and heir to his rich estate.

P).— Committees of the Indiana Methodist Episcopal Church Conference and the Chamber of Commerce today are studying a proposal to turn Evansville College over to the City of Evansville to be operated as a municipal institution.
