Beginning with a drop of 10 per cent in November traffic fatalities. the decrease continued through to a 19 per cent reduction in April, | he said. “For this period Detroit was first among large cities in percentage of reduction, paring its| death toll nearly 52 per cent,” he said. Mr. Damon cited “an unprecedented co-ordination of public and private effort’ ’in explaining the decrease.
