Mrs. Test is to return this evening from Burt Lake, Mich. where she opened her summer cottage early this week. Miss Laura O. Youth had a field day yesterday at the all-day junior party at the Indianapolis Country Club. Tennis and badminton courts, golf course and swimming pool were dotted with boys and girls who stayed on to dine in gay little groups and dance in the twilight. In one party of young mermaids who raced back and forth in the outdoor pool were the Misses Frances Louise Nafe, Joan Boozer, Betty Mayer, Barbara Sterrett, Nancy Stout and Sally Mitchell, The Misses Alice Boozer and Ann Sayles, Charles Bookwalter and Robert Meeker made up a foursome who dined and danced together. In another group at the evening party were the Misses Dede Bam, Virginia Burkholder and Madeline Pugh, Marvin Hamilton Jr, Alfred Piel Jr., William Hamilton, Roger Moynahan and William Irwin. The Misses Betty Lieber, Betty Jane Mosiman and Patty Cosler, Robert Stempfel Jr. and Albert Nafe formed another party. The Misses Kathleen and Nancy Taylor had as their guests Miss Nancy Taggart and Miss Amelia Menegus. Others who entertained at dinner were the Misses Barbara Martin, Joan Haywood, Betty and Marilyn Whitaker, Hal T. Benham Jr. and Lucius Hamilton. The club's monthly luncheon-bridge party is to be held next Wednesday.
Dirndis and slacks established the proper playtime atmosphere at the play party given yesterday by the committee of a newly formed Girl Scout troop at Mrs. Oliver Stout's country home on White River near Carmel. Bridge, badminton, ping-pong and swimming in the pool followed luncheon cooked over a charcoal grill on the river bank, The party was given to raise funds for troop camping in August for the 40 children from School No. 9 who were invested as Girl Scouts at Camp Dellwood last Tuesday, .
