Well-Known Horsemen Are Here for Arlington Show Opening Tonight
Exhibitors to Present 115 Equine Aristocrats From 25 Cities in Annual Event at Robert H. Brown Stables.
By VIRGINIA MOORHEAD MANNON Horses, horses, horses——they are here 115 strong for the eighth annual Arlington Horse Show which is to open at ® o'clock tonight at the Robert H. Brown stables and continue each evening through Saturday. From 25 cities and a half dozen states they have come and they are aristocrats right down to their shoes. Not a few of the thoroughbreds that have carried off prize money In other large shows throughout the country have made their initial Lpiicarance at previous Arlington exhibitions. One entry of unusual interest from Manhdalane Farm, Lake Geneva, Wis, is High Tide, stablemate of Delaine Hours, winner of the $10000 gaited grand champion stake at the Kentucky State Fair at Louisville last year. The horse, owned by Mr. and Mis J. A. Jacobson, will be shown by Lloyd Teators who rode the winner in the Kentucky event. : The list of exhibitors which includes outstanding local riders and represents a well-known Midwestern stables was announced today by Mrs Alex Metzger, chairman of entries. Among those who have entered horses in the 37 classes are Mr. and Mis. Walter ©.
