Wilson Mothershead Is Dramatic Club Head After Sizzling Election

By VIRGINIA MOORHEAD MANNON Following a hotly contested election with positively no provision for a recount, Wilson Mothershead last night was declared victor in the battle for presidency of the Dramatic Club. Officials finished counting the ballots shortly before midnight at the annual business meeting and dinner-dance at Woodstock Club.
Completing the roster of new officers who are to guide the destinies of the city’s oldest dramatic organization next year are Mrs. William Ray Adams, vice president; Lyman S. Ayres, secretary, and John Collett, treasurer. Directors are Miss Irving Moxley, Perry O'Neal and William C. Griffith.

Feverish activity is anticipated in the environs of Golden Hill late this afternoon when at 5:30 guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ruckelshaus, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Kackley and Mr. and Mzus. Conrad Ruckelshaus start scuttling about in search of treasure. The party, which is being given in honor of Miss Janet Noyes and Frederic M. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Robb Jr. of Concord, N. H., will arrive next Saturday to visit Mrs, Robb’s uncle, G. Barrett Moxley, and Miss Moxley and to attend the races. Mrs. Robb, who was Miss Kitty Armstrong of Shelbyville, Ky. has been a frequent vsiitor here, Miss Moxley will entertain at dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Robb Saturday evening. Mrs. Albert Goepper has returned from a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Edward B. Anderson, and Mr. Anderson in Winnetka, Ill. Mrs. Henry C. Atkins Jr. and her daughter, Susan, who are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Anderson now, will return early next week. Mrs. Anderson, formerly Miss Louise Goepper, has taken a cottage at Clear Lake in Northern Indiana. where she and her children, Marv Ellen ard Rilly, will spend the summer. Another daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Cox Jr. and Mrs. Cox of Fountain, Mich, and their daughter, Diane, and son, Charles III, will arrive May 29 to spend 10 davs with Mr. and Mrs. Goepper.

Mrs. George W. Hulbert, Gary, was named president of the Indiana State Chapter of the P, E, O. Sisterhood at the cldsing session of a three-day convention this morning at the Marott Hotel. Other officers elected include Miss Madeline Gullion, Rushville, first vice president; Mrs. G. C. Brandenburg, West Lafayette, second vice president; Mrs. G. Maxwell Powell, South Bend, organizer; Mrs. Harry S. Rogers, Indianapolis, recording secretary; Mrs. Arthur M. Wagner, Greensburg, corresponding secretary, and Miss Marion Hillman, South Bend, treasurer. Miss Martha Ellen Weisman, Kokomo, who for two years was awarded the group's scholarship, is to be honored soon by the naming of a room at Cottey College in her honor. The 1938 winner of the $200 scholarship to the organiza-tion-supported school is Miss Pa-| tricia Carson, Gary.
