‘LONG-WINDED’ ESSAYS OF SCIENTISTS SCORED
(Copyright, 1938, by Science Service) DALLAS, Tex. April 21.—Scientists "have many times criticized the nation’s newspapers, but today a 17-year-old chemist, the youngest scientist ever to read a paper before the American Chemical Society, turned the tables on his elders and twitted them for their “longwinded articles.” “Far too many scientists are ridiculous because they write longwinded articles about their researches and fail to put them into proper literary style,” Edgar 2Z. Friedenberg of Centenary College, Shreveport, La., declared here today before the chemists’ convention. “The newspapers afe doing an excellent job of informing the public of the latest scientific happenings,” said Mr. Friedenberg. “My quarrel is with the scientists themselves, who begin an article at any point that suits their fancy, write with no literary style and finish the . article only when they get tired.

Smothering Gas No Longer Keeps Local Man Awake Most of Night
Declares He Now Eats and Enjoys 3 Man-Sized Meals
Daily, Sleeps Soundly for First Time in 20 Years—
Thanks Natex.
Of all the symptoms of upset digestion there is none more distressing than that gassy condition of the stomach which so often calls for the use of soda and antacids. Folks who are troubled in this way due to constant suffering with constipation and an atonic condition of . the stomach should visit the Natex representative at Haag's Claypool Hotel Drug Store, Illinois and Washington Sts., without delay and learn what Natex has done for so many local people who have . been tortured for years; how this compound acts to prevent the formation of gas and not merely ease the stomach after the gas is already there. Mr. Walter Fox, local man living at 227 Blake St., found this to be the case and now he says: «It seems as though I'd been constipated most all my life, and here in the past 20 years my suffering simply had the best of me. Every bite of food I ate gave me indigestion. Even water seemed to turn sour in my stomach, and any sort of a meal would distress me with indigestion, acid-risings, sourness and painful, bloating gas. I judge I took half-box of soda every day and during the night, but still the kept me awake most every night. 1 was also bothered all too often with cramps that threatened to double me in half. In addition, I was almost constantly wornout, sluggish dnd weak, and had aches in my lggs that almost drove we frantic. 8
Mr. Walter. Fox
many people here in town, I thought it might be able to benefit me too. “Well, sir, I was never so right in my life! Why, Natex had my powels moving thoroughly and natural-like from the very beginning. Now, though I've taken it only a very short time, I'm actually
sized meals a day without the slightest distress afterwards—and I mustn't forget that I sleep like a log every night, never getting up for soda or anything else. Not only that, I have a .new feeling of pep and energy, and never am bothered with the old aching misery in my legs anymore. To any of my friends who are now suffering as I once did—I say take Natex.” Give this compound made chiefly from nature's roots and herbs the chance to help you too. It is sold by all Haag Neighborhood Drug Stores and the Natex representative invites all local people to visit him
