Tenth District Rally Hears Townsend Praise Two Programs.

He told a Tenth District Democritic rally here last night: “We are sincerely striving to improve the security of the people—the economic, health, safety, social, investment ‘and job security.” The Governor described the fulltime public health service which sends nurses, doctors and sanitary engineers into isolated rural and economically distressed urban areas.
Safety Program Studied
The safety program’s organization, begun a year ago, is to be completed today at a Safety Coordinating Committee meeting. He pointed out that Indiana 1s the first state to accept and put into effect the National Safety Council’'s complete recommendations. “The loss of life and property, either by lawlessness, neglected ill health or traffic accidents, constitutes a menace to the security of the people and necessitates action on the part of government,”
