NLRB CHARGES REX GOMPANY
Report Cites Wagner Law Violations by Firm at Connersville.
An NLRB trial examiner's report today had upheld. union charges that the Rex Manufacturing Co, Inc., Connersville, violated the Wagner Labor Act, Robert H. Cowdrill, 11th region director, announced here. : : The intermediate report, filed by Henry J. Kent, the trial examiner, directed Rex Co. officials to “cease and desist” discouraging employee membership in bona fide labor organizations. The officials also were directed to cease “dominating
and interfering with the formation or administration of any labor organization.” The report followed a NLRB hearing on complaint of unfair labor practices filed by United Automobile Workers Union, Local 152, a C. I. O
strike; charging company violation of seniority agreements. Mr. Kent’s report said evidence showed the Rex company “fostered, promoted and financed” the Cabinet and Refrigerator Workers’ Protective Association of Connersville.”
