gated thz2 holdup of two filling stations, 2 robbery and slugging, and ordered 11 boys suspected of mail box robberies into the new Juvenile Crimz Prevention Bureau. Oliver was alone in his home, his wife and two children being at a pboother’s home. Deputies were told there was a disturbance. When they: tried fo enter the house, Oliver, they said, shot through the door.

Deputy Paul Gary hid behind the barn and shot at Oliver when he ran out of the house, shotgun in hand. Deputy Gary said Oliver dropped the gun and was captured. Deputies put him under guard in City Hospital psychopathic. ward. A dirty-faced youth, about 17, entered g filling station at 4129 E. Washington St. yesterday and displayinz a gun, ordered C. E. Alcorn, 32, of 1297 S. Emerson Ave, to hand over his money. Mr. Alcorn told police he handed $11 to the youth, then dived for him. In the struggle, the bandit rolled free and'ded in an auto, leaving behind his gun and cap. ‘Two men, one armed with a gun and the other carrying a section of iron pipe, entered a filling station at 5151 Massachusetts Ave. last night and ordered Harry Cocher, 1707 Ingram St, proprietor, and Kenneth Dunham, Clermont, to lie cn the ficor while they were robbed cf $15. The 11 were - ordered. to report to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Bureau. ° Only about $70 of the $900 which * another 13-year-old boy admitted he and a companion took from the home of Edward McNulty, 1271 Kentucky Ave, Saturday, was unaccounted for today, police reported. In a statement to detectives, the youth gave information which led to recovery of $258 at the home of a relative, who, with a companion, was held on a vagrancy charge. The youth accounted for an additional $84 which he said he had given to the relative, Earlier, more than $487 had been found by police hidden in a shack at White River Blvd. and . the Belt Railroad.
