Served With Schools
Mrs. Moudy has-been in administrative positions in Indianapolis schools many years, serving as principal at Public Schools 12, 16, 58 and 75. She had charge of relief work west of, White River and north of Washington St. during the 1913 flood. In the 1936 campaign, she had charge of organizing the. business and professional women for the Republican Party in Marion County and throughout the state. Mrs. Lowe. is president of Local 127, United Garment Workers of America and is a member of the executive committee of Central Labor Union. James M. Tucker, Paoli, Republi~
member of ‘the party’s national policy committee, -told members of the McKinley Club last night that the Republican Party is going to give business a real chance to put men back to work ‘permanently. Andrew Jacobs, as part. of his primary campaign for the Democratic nomination for Prosecutor, today attacked the party's county organization as a “cowardly group.” He charged the present Prosecutor’s office with failure to prosecute gambling and vice interests and declared that one unnamed deputy is “lending his time to the Clauer machine” in an effort “to defeat Judge Clarence Weir.”
GIRL, ILL, WANDERS ~~ 2 HOURS IN STORM
—Milred Stewart, 14, was “none the worse” today after two hours’ wandering in delirium through a severe rainstorm. A posse found the girl in a patch of weeds. She was ill with influenza and left her sick .bed during the night clad only in a “Pighigown, and bathrobe. : :
