SCHENCK BACKS - CROP CONTROL

Holds U. S. Progr Program Lacks . Perfection but Will Prove Stabilizing.

Hassil E. Schenck, Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. president, today was on record as supporting the Federal Government's crop control program. He said yesterday that while the program is not perfect, it will aid in stabilizing * agriculture. He added that adjustments will be necessary from time to time to make it workable. Mr. Schenck explained that a two-thirds majority of farmers must

vote favorably in a referendum to make the plan active in five crop .divisions—corn, wheat, rice, tobacco and cotton. The proposal would establish an ever-normal granary, price" parity, soil conservation and loans, and the placing of maximums on production acreage and marketing.

The crop control biil provides an | ;

appropriation of $500,000,000 for soil conservation and Price parity payments, he said.

DEPAUW FRATERNITY WILL REVIVE REVUE
