Howtos Tibbett “fans,” who sometimes may be a little discouraged about the quality of music the Metropolitan baritone offers on his weekly broadcasts, may be heartened to know that this evening he has ammed Schubert's “Erl King” and the *Bong to the Evening

1 items, but they are worth hearing, especially since Mr. Tibbett has a way of doing them extremely well. After the ubiquitous “Serenade” and “Who Is Slyvia?” this dramatic song-story of youth and death. is probably the best known of Schubert's songs. Goethe's poem fired the imagina-
