INDIANA ROTARY CLUBS TO MARK 25TH BIRTHDAY

Dr. Bryan Among Speakers For Celebration Here Feb. 21 and 22.

Indiana District of Rotary International is to hold its 256th Annual Conference here Feb. 21 and 22. The silver anniversary meeting is to honor the three oldest Indiana clubs, Indianapolis, Terre Haute and Evansville. Dr. William Lowe Bryan, Indiana University president emeritus; Edgar G. Doudna, Madison, Wis., and J. Raymond Tiffany, Hoboken, N.J., are to be among the speakers. The Rev. A. Elliston Cole, Bloomington, district governor, who is to preside, is to open the meeting with the governor's address. He is to relinquish his post following nominations at the closing session. Election of the new district governor is to be ratified by the international conference in San Francisco, June 19. Dr. Bryan, Bloomington Club honorary member, is to talk on “Rotary’s Mission.” Mr. Doudna is gp. former district governor, and long associated with public school teachers’ organizations in Wisconsin. Mr. Tiffany, past district governor and former deputy attorney general in New Jersey, is special counsel to the Commerce and Navigation Board and State Water Poljcy Commission in that state.

Consumers’ Research Director Speaks

200 ATTEND COUNTY FATHER-SON DINNER

Nearly 200 pupils, ‘their fathers and other residents of the southern part of Marion County attended a father and son banquet last night at Southport High School, sponsored by the Vocational Agricultural Department. Entertainment preceding the dinner included a fencing and tumbling exhibition by the South Side Turners. Speakers included Edward Chellew. Indianapolis Power & Light Co.; James M. Pearson, Washington, regional director of vocational and extension training, and Dr. Z. M. Smith, Indiana director of vocational agriculture.

ESTABLISH OFFICES FOR WHEELER DRIVE

Headquarters for the Wheeler City Rescue Mission's campaign to raise building. funds have been established at. 111 N. Pennsylvania np street. Arthur R. Baxter, general chairman, speaking at the meeting of the general gifts committee at the Washington Hotel yesterday, recalled the founding of the Mission in 1893 by William V. Wheeler. The campaign will be held Feb. 21 to 28 to provide funds to improve facilities at the Mission.
