President Roosevelt will open the 28th anniversary week of the Boy Scouts of America in a nationwide broadcast from the White House today at 5:45 p. m., over the Coe lumbia and NBC-Red networks. The President will be introduced by Dr. James E. West, chief Scout executive, who will speak at Boy Scout headquarters in New York, Walter W. Head, Boy Scout presi= dent, also will be heard. : Tomorrow 500,000 Boy Scouts will Join in a radio birthday party arranged by NBC in observance of the Scout anniversary.
