P.-T. A. Council and Monday Luncheon Club Indorse Bench Candidates.
Two more groups today announced their indorsement of William H. Remy, Republican, and Municipal Judge Wilfred Bradshaw, Democrat, as candidates for the nomination for Juvenile Court judge. The groups are the executive board of the Indianapolis Council of Parent-Teacher Associations and the Monday Luncheon Club, a Negro businessmen's club. Judge Bradshaw and Mr. Remy are the Juvenile Court committee's selection as candidates from both
parties for the bench. Mrs. George L. Clark, the council's juvenile protection committee chairman, and Mrs. Robert S. Mason were selected by the organization to co-operate with the Juvenile Court committee. Bleven groups have indorsed the Juvenile Court committee candidate choices.
FAIR BOARD BOOSTS PRIZE TOTAL $5390
Construction of $12,000 Stage Ordered.
The State Board of Agriculture today had increased prize money budgets for the 1938 State Fair by $5390, bringing the total to be offered to $99,611. The increases were voted at a meeting yesterday during which construction of a permanent stage
opposite the Fairgrounds grandstand was authorized. It is to cost between $12,000 and $15,000. The Board considered enlarging the new horse barn to make room for 50 more horses.

.The Indiana Guide, containing a wide variety of information of Indiana and its activities, is to be published about June 1, State WPA Director John K. Jennings said today. He said Governor Townsend had assumed sponsorship of the publica-
tion of materials gathered by =a WPA writing project directed by Gordon Briggs.
94,000 TO SHARE IN
1938 WELFARE FUND
Old-age pensions, care of dependent and neglected children and pensions for the blind will approximate $6,000,000 of the State's money this year, Indiana Welfare officials announced today. The money, along with $8,000,000 of Federal money and $6,923,532 that counties will be required to raise, will be used for social welfare in Indiana. It is expected to serve 04,000 persons, of whom 15,000 will be added by the drop in the age requirement for old-age pensions to 65. It formerly was 70. Both the State allowance and the Federal grant represent large increases over last year's totals. The State gave approximately $3,860,000 in 1937; the Federal Government, approximately $5,426,000.
