ST. VINGENT'S FETES 25 YEARS
Hospital to Observe Silver Jubilee Tomorrow With High Mass.
St. Vincent's Hospital will observe jts silver jubilee tomorrow with a solemn high mass by the Rev. Fr. Patrick Griffin, Assumption Parish pastor, who celebrated the first mass in the new hospital chapel 25 years ago. The present building was erected in 1913 at a cost of about a million dollars and among recent improvements to the hospital are the new children’s ward and the complete renovation of the maternity ward. St. Vincent's Hospital is conducted by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul, an order which was founded in France in 1633 and in the United States in 1809. The silver jubilee year also will be celebrated by a homecoming later in the year.
