RALLY TO OPEN LOCAL SCOUTS’ BIRTHDAY FETE
Court of Honor Tuesday Is Highlight of Week Of Activities.
Indianapolis Boy Scouts are to observe the 28th anniversary of Boy Scouts of America with a week of special activity, A championship rally, to be held at 7 p. m, Saturday at Tomlinson Hall, will start the celebration, The week's highlight is to be the Anniversary Court of Honor, held Tuesday at War Femorial Auditorium. Irving Williams, who will preside, is to present membership awards to 126 troops. Boy Scout Safety Day is to be observed Feb, 12. The Police Department is co-operating with plans for Scout safety demonstrations. A pilgrimage to the Lincoln statue in University Park is to close the week's celebration,
Troop 34 of Traub Memorial Presbyterian Church is to observe its 20th anniversary Tuesday in connection with the city-wide national celebration. It was organized with eight charter members in 1918 by the Rev, J. W. Armstrong, then church pastor, The Rev. Mr, Armstrong is to come from Michigan to attend the celebration. Lloyd Byrne, scoutmaster, is in charge of the meeting.
