Players Club and Lambs Club Parties Are Scheduled for Week-End; Many Local Dinners Are Arranged.

for the week-end and the Junior League-sponsored basketball game set for tomorrow evening a pleasant air of frivolity features this week’s calendar. A number of dinner parties are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings and boxholders for the Indiana-Butler basketball game are to entertain scores of enthusiastic fans for the
winter sports event. . Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Miner will have as their dinner guests preceding the Players Club performance at the Civic Theater Mr. and Mrs, Carl Tafel, Louisville, who are to spend the week-end here, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Wells. Mrs. Stuart Dean also is to give a dinner party. Mr. and Mrs. George Maynard Halverson will entertain informally in their home Saturday evening before the Lambs Club frolic for a group who will dine later at the Columbia Club. Included in the party will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ferriday Jr., chairmen of the Lambs Valentine Vanities; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Loftin and Mr. and Mrs. F. Noble Ropkey. Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. ‘Adams will give a dinner in their home in Golden Hill preceding the Lambs show. Mr. and Mrs. J. Mason Gaston will entertain informally in their home Saturday evening for a group who will dine later in a Dutcn treat party at the Columbia Club. Another Dutch treat dinner group is to meet first at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron R. Green. One party dining at the Columbia Club is to include Mr. and Mrs. William H. Wemmer, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Ball and Mr. and Mrs. Abbott L. Johnson II, Muncie, and Eugene F. Eckerle, Cincinnati. Mrs. Gustav A. Recker will entertain informally at the Columbia Club for a group who will dine later at a Dutch treat party. Guests are to include Messrs. an' Mesdames William A. Seventh District Chorus And Play on Program This Afternoon.
The Seventh District Federation of Clubs’ Winter Art Fiesta is to open this afternoon in the William H. Block & Co. auditorium. Appearing on the opening pros gram is to be the Seventh District Chorus, under the direction of Charles Geyer. Members of the Present~Day Club are to present a play, “Fingerbowls and Araminta.” The exhibit is to include prized art objects and handicraft owned by federation members. Organ Recital Scheduled
