ROAD DETOURS | IN EFFECT CUT | T07N STATE
U. S. 50 Bridge Washed Out, By Flood, Open for Traffic Again.
The State Highway Commission | today announced that regular construction detours now are in effect on only seven roads. During the past week the detour | was lifted on U, S. Highway 50 two | miles west of Brownstown, where approaches to the White River bridge were washed out in last win- | ter’s flood. The bridge now is open to traffic. | Detours also were lifted from Road 2, three and a half miles north | of Hebron, and from Road 234, from | Road 47 to Road 43. A truck detour, enforced because | of a four-ton gross load limit on | the bridge run-around one mile | west of Cumberland, was removed | from U. S. Highway 40, between | Indianapolis and Greenfield. Detours now in effect are: Wabash northeast,

More than 400 courses are to be offered by the Butler University day division nex{ semester, Mrs. Juna L. Beal, chairman of the schedule committee, announces. Classes are to begin Feb. 3 in the colleges of education, liberal arts sciences, religion and business administration. Registration will be held on Feb. 2. In the college of liberal arts and sciences courses to be offered include 45 in English; botany, 16; chemistry, 8; classical languages and archaeology, 13; fine arts, 5; German, 12; history and political secience, 13; home economics, 11; mathematics, 9; philosophy, 4; physical education for men, 6; physical education for women, 13; physics, 9; religion, 4; romance languages, 25; sociology, 8, and zoology, 9. Instruction to be offered by the new college of business administration includes 10 courses in journalism and 29 in business administrai tion. The college of education will offer 72 courses in the elementary
