6.0. P. PROJECTS COUNTY RALLIES ON LINCOLN DAY

Chairmen Requested to Map Plans: Bobbitt to Talk Tomorrow Night.

All Republican: County chairmen today had received requests from State Chairman Archie N. Bobbitt to hold Lincoln Day meetings, Meanwhile, Mr, Bobbitt said he would discuss the rising cost of government under the New Deal at a meeting of the Warren Township Republican Club at the home of Dan Riser in Curhberland tomorrow night. Frederick E. Schortemeier, Marion County chairman, said he would consult with G. O. P. ward chair. men to arrange plans for the Lincoln Day meetings. He said he believed a series of ward or sectional meetings in Marion County would be preferred t0 one mass meeting.

Campaign Projected

Declaring this “was a part of the program to wage a militant campaign this year,” Mr. Bobbitt expressed the hope that the Lincoln Day meetings be held in all the 92 counties on Feb. 12. “The type of meeting to be ‘held is a matter to be deided entirely by your local committee,” Mr, Bobbitt said in letters to the county || chairmen. Newly elected officers of the Warren Township Republican Club are to be installed at tomorrow’s meeting. The installation ceremony is to be directed by Fred M. Dickman. LYNHURST RESIDENTS ORGANIZE CIVIC CLUB

Residents of Lynhurst, a com- | munity west of Indianapolis, today had organized the Lynhurst Civic Club, dedicated to town improve ment. At a meeting at the home of Herman Flake, 5206 Wayne Ave. last night, John W. Elder was elected chairman. Other officers are Mr. Flake, vice chairman: Mrs. Betty Elder, secretary, and Fred Harris, treasurer. First project of the group is to be financing and construction of a playground for children. Meetings are to be held the second Wednesday of each month.
