Building Supply Problems
To Be Discussed by 1500 Delegates.
Fifteen hundred Indiana lumbermen and building material dealers were expected to attend the 54th annual Indiana Lumber and Builders’ Supply Association convention opened at the Claypool Hotel today. Registration for the three-day meeting began at 9 a. m. Ninetyfive building material exhibits were displayed on the eighth floor of the hotel, With Robert S. Foster, Indianapolis lumber dealer, presiding, the convention program was to start at 2:30 p. m. C. D. Alexander, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce president, was to welcome visitors. Ine vocation was to be given by the Rev. George Arthur Frantz, First Presbyterian Church pastor. Dinner for association past presidents is to be held at 7 o'clock tonight. Costs to Be Discussed Business operating costs and fair | trade agreements are to be consid- | ered by material and supply dealers | at breakfast conferences at 8:15] a. m. tomorrow. Speakers are to in- | clude Col. R. H. Whitney, Worcester, Mass.; Phil Bash, Huntington lum- | ber dealer, and L. I. MacQueen, | Pittsburgh. Paul Q. Richey, Indianapolis advertising man, is to speak on “Advertising for the Building Material Dealer” at tomorrow's afternoon session. Other speakers will be M. G. Jensen and Ben L. Johnson, both of Chicago, and Prof. Arthur M. Weimer, Indiana University School of Business Administration.
