Inasmuch as the ey eyes of Christen-
'| dom are turned this week-end to
the Holy Land, €BS finds it fitting to contribtue a program - broadcast from the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Tomorrow at 11 a. m., the British Broadcasting Co. and CBS-WABO. plan to take radio listeners on a tour of the “little town of Bethlehem,” making it possible for them to hear a special service, the ringing of the famous Bethlehem bells, and the singing of the Church of the Native ity Choir. Other holy places to be visited during the broadcast are the tomb of St. Jerome, the Emperor Constantine's Basilica and the con« vents of the Greek, Latin and .Are menian churches.

However uneasy the officers and créew of the flagship of the Pacific fleet may be durifig the holidays, elaborate plans have beén made for the ship’s celebration. The death of Mme. Schumann Heink robbed radio of one of its two most popular Christmas traditions— her singing of “Silent Night” on Christmas Eve. Lionel Barrymore's . portrayal of Scrooge in Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” is the other. Mr. Barrymore is to return to the air this afternoon at 4 o'clock over CBS-WFBM to tell the famous story of How a disagreeable old man discovered the real meaning of Christ~ mae, 2 8 # 2 Station WFBM has been playing the role of Lady Bountiful.
