In Sophisticated Play

‘Curtain; Evelyn Lilly and Judith Preston to Entertain for Jane Adams Tonight.

night by putting on a sophisticated ‘performance of’ “Good Morning” for the Dramatic Club. A gay crowd,

resplendent in holiday attire, filled the busses whish carried club members from English’s to the supper dance

afterward. in the Indianapolis Athletic Club. The Misses Nina Brown, Barbara Stafford, Josephine Mayer, Mary Sheerin Kuhn and Prudence Brown dashed from the “debutante dinner,” given by Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Johnson and their son Sylvester Johnson Jr. to the theater to don costumes and makeup before the curtain rose. After the performance they joinéd other mempers of the dinner party at a special table reserved for them at the supper dance. : x . ig the smartly gowned feminine club members was Mrs. Batist R. Haueisen who wore a black silk net gown with a brillant tiara in her hair. Mr. and Mrs. Haueisen and Mr. and Mrs. James F. Frenzel had entertained a dinner party earlier in the evening. Miss Elsie Sinclair wore a gown of gold and white brocade with green ostrich tips in her hair. Miss Evelyn Chambers’ blue gros de londres evening dress was set off by the deep red carnations in her hair. Mrs. Wililam E. Munk wore pleated white chiffon with roses. Mrs. Sylvester Johnson’s black crepe gown was distinctive with its

white shell flowers on the bodice. Mrs. Samuel Runnels Harrell wore -

gold and white brocade. Pink moire fashioned Mrs. John D. Gould's gown and Mrs. Henry Jameson, Milwaukee, wore black lace. Mrs, Albert J. Beveridge Jr. was lovely in shining gold lame. Mrs. Eli Lilly wore blue and silver lame. Mrs. Robert B. Failey’s gown was black taffeta with a waist of blue velvet. Miss Louise Vonnegut wore red crepe. Mrs. Eugene Miller wore sapphire taffeta and Mrs. W. Richardson Sinclair wore orchids with: her blaek velvet gown. Mrs. Benjamin D. Hitz wore gold iame made princess style. Black velvet and net fashioned Mrs. Jesse Fletcher's gown. Mrs. W. Hathaway Simmons wore black net. Mrs. Warrack Wallace ‘was in flowered crepe with a black packground and Miss Betsy Home's white crepe gown was set off with a coral girdle. ss 8 = 8 Mrs. Garvin M. Brown chose gold brocaded satin. Mrs. Henry C. Atkins Jr.’s black velvet gown was ornamented with a red rose at the neckline. Mrs. Conrad Ruckelshaus wore brick red crepe with matching ostrich in her hair. Miss Irving Moxley, cochairman of the committee for the production, wore white procaded satin and a corsage of orchids. Mrs. Edward Anderson's gown was deep green velvet trimmed with matching feathers. Mrs. Keyes W. Atkins wore black crepe. : Piss Brown wore white lame and gardenias.; Miss Josephine Madden, also in the cast, wore pink satin with a corsage of orchids. Mrs. Thomas Ruckelshaus, a member of the committee in charge, wore printed crepe on a black background. Red earth satin fashioned Mrs. Elias C. Atkins’ gown with which she wore white carnations in her hair. Mrs. Norman Metzger was lovely in white chiffon with beaded bodice and a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Laurens Henderson wore ice-green satin.

The Columbia Club is to be the scene of two Christmas dances over the week-end, one for members and their guests tomorrow night and the other for Junior Columbians Saturday night. g On the committee for decorations and the floor show at the junior formal dance are ‘William Irwin and Rosemary Horne, assisted by Misses Jo Anne Mumford,.
