Shopping Is Difficult For Young Set Dufine. Heavy Party Schedule

Tudor Hall Graduates to Be Feted at Luncheons; 200 Will Be Guests at Dance Tonight; Dinner Is Planned for Class.

By VIRGINIA MOORHEAD MANNON The avalanche of parties for the younger set is descending simultaneously from all directions.. With the heavy schedule of luncheons, teas and dances in full swing it’s a problem to manage the necessary prowling in the shops for replenishing wardrobes and finishing off Christmas lists.

Miss Helen Griffith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore B. Griffith, is to be hostess to members of last year’s June graduating class from Tudor Hall at a luncheon today in her home. Miss Griffith arrived here Saturday from Vassar College to spent the holidays with her parents. Among the guests Who are to have their first reunion since they separated this fall to attend different colleges are several from other cities in the state. Out-of-town guests are to include Miss Norma Ballard, French Lick; the Misses Jean Long and Marjorie. Two. hundred members of the young college set and Tudor Hall upperclassmen are fo be guests of Dr. and Mrs. J. Kent Leasure this evening at Woodstock Club when they entertain with a dance for their daughter, Jane. Miss Leasure is a senior in Tudor Hall this year. Mrs. Leasure is to receive their guests in a gown of ice-blue satin collared with mink, Miss Leasure will wear a white crepe gown with a wide belt of vari-colored sequins. Flowers are to be used to decorate the club rooms. Miss Fishback, Miss Prentice and Miss Kemp will stay over after Miss Griffith's luncheon to attend the party. Other out-of-town guests will include Miss Patricia DePrez, Shelbyville; and Philip Vine, London, England, who is the guest of William Shafer.
