Employment Is 2.7 Per Cent Under October Figure; Payrolls Off.

A decline of 2.7 per cent in em=ployment here last month compared with October, was reported today. A survey made by the Indiana State Employment Service for the]. Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce | showed the November employment | to be 41,064. The total was 42,195 in | | October. Weekly payrolls. dropped 6 per cent. More than 600 firms were included in the survey. : Chamber of Commerce officials reported an increase of .3 per cent in retail sales last month. The number of persons on relief increased from 30,927 in October to 33,654 in November. These figures _ include WPA and township relief projects.
