STATE FARMERS SEEK MARKETS FOR MORE EGGS

30 Million Dollar Hoosier Business Joins Drive Of Producers.

Times Special WARSAW, Dec. 20—With Indiana’s $30,000,000 egg business reporting an abundant production, Hoosier farmers have joined the movement of the National Poultry Producers Federation to increase consumption. “We have asked the organized food chains and other groups of retailers to help move the increased supply into consumption through their many thousands of stores,” Hobart Creighton, Warsaw, state poultry committee chairman, announced today. There are 200,000 Indiana farms engaged in egg production, he said. Although flocks of laying hens have dropped in number, new highs in seasonal egg production have been set, according to Government rerts

With fewer hens, there were more fresh eggs in September, usually a low production month, than during any September of the last 10 years, Mr. Creighton said.

$12,000 ASKED FOR BUS TICKET-ERROR’

SOUTH BEND, Dec. 20 (U. P.).— Damages of $12,600 to be distributed among the 45,000 passengers who boarded Chicago-bound busses here since 1932, were asked in a suit on file in Circuit Court today.

The action was started by D. Lincoln Orlow, local attorney, who apparently was the only one of the 45,000 to examine his ticket closely. Defendants are the Central Greyhound lines of Indiana and the Greyhound Management Co. of Chicago. . Orlow claimed that the tickets sold here are marked Niles, Mich., thus boosting the fare 20 cents. He set his own loss at only $3.80. His attorney is State Senator Walter Arnold.

TWO ARE SUSPECTED OF COUNTERFEITING

Alleged to have passed counterfeit $10 bills, two men were to be questioned by United States Secret Service agents today. Edward Fierce, 34, and David Fairs, 33, who gave an E. 24th St. address, were arrested in a tavern in the 400 block E. Washington St. yesterday. Police said they found six counterfeif; bills in their possession. Roy Miller, 39, of 83812 N. Jefferson Ave. operator of the tavern, said he changed several of the bills for the two men before he discovered they were counterfeit. He held the two men until police arrived.

Big Meeting at English’s Theater yesterday. “When we think war we are thinking hate, and that is not goocl will,” Prof. Schutz said in asking sacceptance of “peace on earth to raen of good will.” Peace organizations advocating boycotts against Japan for aggression in China were “thinking hate, and there is no solution in that.”
