MINIATURES OF NOTED AIRCRAFT WILL BE SHOWN
Models of Famous Planes To Be on Display at Junior Exposition.
A display of large-scale models of historically famous aircraft is to be a feature of the second annual Junior Aeronautical Exposition ‘Dec. 29 and 30 at the Indiana National | Guard Armory, 711 N. Pennsylvania St. The show is sponsored by the 12th District American Legion, : the American Flying Corps and the Richard F. Taylor Aviation Post, American Legion. Models will include those of the original Wright airplane, the first U. S. Government plane, Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis, modern U. S. Army pursuit and |bombardment ships, China Clipper and racing craft.
Airports Prepare Exhibits
Each of the Indianapolis airports is preparing a special scale-model of its flying field, according to the sponsors. Pictures and equipment from the Army Aeronautical Museum will be displayed and a film on the history of aviation is to be shown for the first time in Indianapolis. Prizes have been offered builders of model aircraft who -enter their work. The show also is| to include aviation displays by Indianapolis firms. Exposition committee. members appointed by Albert F. Maurer, 12th District commander, are Maj. Oliver H. Stout, Sheriff Ray, Matt G. Carpenter, Lawrence Jones and H. Weir Cook.

RIDING CLUB SETS CHRISTMAS DINNER
Members of the Algonquin Riding Club will hold their annual Christmas dinner party at the Algonquin Riding Club Sunday at 6:30 p. m. Mrs. John A. Rau, Mrs. William Kuhn, Mrs. Robert Teegugarden, Mrs. Mary Moore and Mrs. Carl York are in charge of the entertainment. The party will close the club’s social and riding events until spring. Winter activities ‘will start immediately in the Coliseum at the State Fair Grounds.
