GROUP HEARS ABOUT NEW U.S. AIR RULES

Trade Assagiation Meets: in Hotel Antlers.

Provisions of new Federal aviation regulations were outlined by Howard C. Knotts, Washington, Bureau of Air Commerce consulting expert, at the Indiana Aircraft Trades Association meeting in the Hotel Antlers last night. The rules require five hours of flight for a solo pilot's certificate; 35 hours for a private pilot’s certificate, a reducton of 15 hours; 50 ours for a limited commercial cerificate, a reduction of 10 hours, ahd 200 hours for a commercial ecertificate, Mr. Knotts said. New air traffic rules on weather requirements and travel routes, establishing minimum conditions when flights should and should not be made, were explained.
