One of the loveliest parties on the Christmas week calendar is the “Debutante Dinner” Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Johnson and their son, Sylveser Johnson Jr., will give in their home before the Dramatic Club performance Dec. 22. Twenty-five miles north of Shéridan, Wyo., on the Shell Creek Canyon Road leading to the Cody entrance of Yellowstone National Park is the IXL Ranch, one of the oldest “dude” ranches in the country. Three weeks ago Mr. Harrison completed arrangements for its purchase from the former English owner. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison and a number of their friends plan to go West in June when the main cabin and the 12 smaller ones will be refinished and equipped with hot. water, and erectric lights. Within an hour’s:ride of the Big Horn Mountains, thé 1600-acre ranch has several swimming pools. Within easy distance is Little Goose Lodge, a mountain cabin owned by Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, which is well located for fishing and pack trips to nearby mountain lakes. | The ranch is to be kept open the year round with hunting in season and skiing and fobogganing as winter attractions. It is situated near Eaton's ranch, which has for some time been a popular vacation spot for Indianapolis people.

Abe Alpert. | The marriage took place at 7:30 . m. Sunday in the Lincoln Hotel Travertine Room, with Rabbi Elias Cherry officiating, assisted by Cantor Myro Glass. A canopy - was made of white roses and ferns. The altar was banked with smilax, white roses and chrysanthemums, ferns and palms. The bride \wore a brocaded velvet gown fashioned on princess lines | with a pear] élip at the neck. An ‘umbrella veil fell from a headdress of velvet petals and she. carried white roses land lilies of the valley centered by an orchid. , Aids Carry Roses Miss Helen Talesnick was maid of honor and Mrs. Louis J. Fichman, a sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Greenbaum, Buffalo, XY. i Irma Valinetz and Nate plotken, the bride’s sister. They wore gowns in varying shades of rose and carried roses of contrasting colors. Marcia Solotken, Greenfield, was flower girl. She wore a full-length gown of rose taffeta with blue velvet bows.
Fineberg, Harold Cohen, Max Klezmer and Dr. Louis P. Fichman ushered. Mrs. Solotken wore Wallis blue with a blue sequin Jacket. Mrs. Alpert wore black crepe with a sequin trimming. They both wore gardenia corsages. Dinner for the immediate families was served at 1:30 p. m. preceding the ceremony. Following the ceremony, 600 guests were present for a reception. ; The bride was graduated from Indiana University. - Mr. Alpert was graduated from ' Butler University and Indiana University Law School. Mrs. Alpert traveled in a green suit trimmed with oross fox fur and matching accessories. :
