The Heye Foundation at first was cool toward pleas that the relic be returned, holding that it legally had purchasecl the sacred bundle from a Presbyterian missionary. The Bureau of indian Affairs became interested. | George G. Heye, wealthy traction | system contractor and donor of the nioney for the founda-

tion that bears his name, recommended that the bundle be returned. The action was approved formally, and the Indians will sentl back a buffalo horn which is at least 200 years old.
